Heather Benedict	9/7/25 11:23 AM	I urge the Council to delay confirmation of the Clerk appointment until questions about the candidate’s educational disclosures are clarified. On his official application to Pierce County, the candidate did not list a bachelor’s degree. Yet on his LinkedIn profile, he claims to hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. Why was this not disclosed to the County? And if he does not have a bachelor’s, how was he admitted to Gonzaga’s master’s program? The issue is not whether he has enough experience to do the job — it’s whether he has been fully candid with the County. Council should verify his academic record before confirmation.
