Heather Benedict 6/10/25 2:31 PM I support community appointments like this, but I urge the Council to apply the same level of diligence to the leadership of the Clerk’s Office. While we're confirming a land use commissioner, the Pierce County Superior Court Clerk remains unconfirmed, and court orders from 2016—affecting my inheritance—are still missing. As a pro se litigant, I’ve experienced firsthand the harm caused by a lack of accountability in recordkeeping. Until a permanent Clerk is confirmed and the disappearance of judicial orders is addressed publicly, confidence in this government’s ability to safeguard our rights is at risk.
