Heather Benedict 5/30/25 7:13 PM You’re reallocating $1.3 million in mental health funding—and honestly, the County itself is the one that needs the therapy. I have PTSD because Pierce County gaslit me over a signed court order—and I’m not alone. You’ve got a Clerk’s Office run by someone who wasn’t elected, in clear violation of the Washington State Constitution, and instead of fixing that, you gave $1 million in taxpayer dollars to settle a DEI lawsuit from a Clerk flown in from Texas who wasn’t even a Washington voter. That’s not inclusion—that’s delusion. Until this Council stops gaslighting the public and starts restoring democracy and transparency, every resolution about “behavioral health” rings hollow. The biggest behavioral crisis is happening at the top.
