Cindy Feist 11/21/17 12:20 PM Please vote NO on Proposed Resolution No. R2017-131 more overbite from extended politicians is not what we need. What we need is for the current leadership in Tacoma to address the subarea plan with full transparency. The local leadership is not doing its due diligence now what is more oversight going to accomplish? The City leadership has not fully included the Puyallup Tribe who should be at the "table" these decisions are impacting their properties and reservation.
Andrea Robinson 11/21/17 12:52 PM I do Not support this proposal
Andrew Storvick 11/21/17 12:56 PM The Pierce County Council has no jurisdiction over Tacoma land use and practices, and we don't need another government agency trying to impose their power on the city of Tacoma and the Puyallup Tribe.
Desiree Douglass 11/21/17 1:06 PM No on this legislation for it is against all state and federal laws regarding long-range planning and community and Tribal rights. The County enjoining such a critical and long process for the final vote is an attempt to influence the outcome. It goes against the laws and intentions of all Washington State long-range planning codes and laws. It seeks to dilute and undermine the extensive public testimony of the Puyallup Tribe of Indians and citizens of Tacoma. You have to listen to your citizens. You have to listen to the Tribes. That's the law.
Kevin Sampson 11/21/17 1:36 PM Detrimental to north east tacoma residents
Claudia Riedener 11/21/17 2:40 PM Dear Council members, I encourage you to go slowly with this agreement. The Port of Tacoma is entirely within the municipality of Tacoma. Code changes are under the purview of the city. Much of the Port of Tacoma also is within traditional Puyallup tribal land, so their voice is crucial and necessary. Adding the county would only make things more contentious, invite more industry political spending and increase the time to come to agreements. We must protect our air, land and water from pollution for the health of all. thank you Claudia Riedener
Janet Higbee-Robinson 11/21/17 4:50 PM I do not support this legislation. Listen to Puyallup Water Warriors!
diana brooks 11/22/17 2:25 PM please do not pass this resolution. it will dilute authority and use of the land, and it is wrong. respect our area.
