Jeremy Acree 10/10/16 2:34 PM This is a much needed updated to an underfunded fee. Pierce County's sport facilities are inferior when compared to other cities and counties in the Puget Sound. My daughter's sports teams have to travel to Vancouver, Olympia, Spokane, Yakima and King County for tournaments because of the lack of updated facilities in Pierce County. I look forward to a future where my kids can compete in local tournaments on local fields, keeping money currently spent in other counties in Pierce County. Growth should pay for growth. I bought a house in Frederickson in 2003 and would have gladly paid the proposed fee without hesitation. My kids go to school near Silver Creek in South Hill (nearly 1000 students in an elementary school) and it's sad to think about what PC Parks could look like today if this fee had been updated years ago. Please pass this resolution and help make Pierce County Parks great again. Thanks! Jeremy Acree
Erynn Alvers 10/10/16 2:58 PM Pierce county does not have enough facilities
Greg Stariha 10/10/16 3:39 PM Unsure of my district but I live in South Hill/Puyallup. As a parent of two elementary aged children and a property owner in this county I fully support the proposal. I believe we have a serious lack of parks/recreation areas in our county. When we travel to other areas/counties in this state I am somewhat embarrassed by our lack of facilities here compared to the other counties. This area continues to grow and thrive. The parks are someplace for everyone to go to enjoy the outdoors. Improving our parks and recs areas will also increase all of our property values well beyond what we will pay at the front end. Please push to pass this proposal.
Ellen Wood 10/10/16 9:37 PM Our community need more parks and game fields for the children.
Jennifer Fettermann 10/10/16 10:35 PM I support an increase in the Impact Fee - as it stands now, in order to take my son to a park, we may either access the community park on 144th, or go into Puyallup proper and use one of the many, many city parks. We have the land, it's a shame we don't have the parks.
Tamra Coyne 10/11/16 6:08 AM Long over due
John Korzenko 10/11/16 6:40 AM Increase park funding.
Jessica Anne Smith 10/11/16 6:44 AM I believe our community would benefit greatly from developing more parks for families and youth sports. We are far behind other community's in the acres of trails and parks per residents and I vote to increase this.
Nanci Smith 10/11/16 9:24 AM let's give our parks the TLC they need
Jeff J Siegel 10/11/16 9:49 AM This is something that we should have increased yearly to keep up with the needs of the public. Having had kids who play sports and going to different cities and using their facilities it is amazing what others have compared to our area. I'd love to see us get caught up with the rest of the region.
Chris Orgeles 10/11/16 11:20 AM Yes, we need more open spaces.
