John Leslie 11/3/24 1:13 PM “Conservation” futures has become an oxymoron as “preservation” has become the motive which is entirely different than “Conservation”. Incentives to coerce land owners to condemn their properties in perpetuity are obscene. Those who are cash poor and property rich could find themselves accepting this offer to pay their property taxes. This also places control over an ever growing sector of Pierce County lands at the whims of bureaucrats and outside forces. These motives may not serve the residents of Pierce Counties best interests at all. This budget should be severely slashed and the entire program subjected to a performance audit with the objectives and consequences clearly defined.
Ryan Holland 11/24/24 10:17 PM People in Pierce County are already hurting enough as it is to keep their homes. Increasing this taxation is another waste. More ideas and projects are gonna surface and more increases are gonna be requested. Please vote NO on this ordinance councilmembers. Thank you.
