Pamela Lakin 7/13/18 1:30 PM We have a 20 acre parcel, 0619191024, and we were wondering if we could just split that in 1/2, instead of what the ARL requirements are. We purchased it for our children to build on each 1/2 and they would be close to help take care of us. We were told that with the new ARL designation, we could have one 17 acre parcel and three 1 acre parcels. We have one child that is now interested and he does not want 17 acres or a 1-3 acre parcel. They were going to build one house and one ADU on the property. There would be a total of 2 homes and 2 ADU's on that 20 acre parcel. That is not very many homes on 20 acres. As it stands now, we have a piece of property that we can not use for what we planned. Even with splitting it in two 10 acre parcels, it could be designated ARL, but with more usable land for us. We never planned on developing that property with multiple of homes. We live on the adjoining property, 0619191011. Please respond. I sent an email to the Pierce County Planning and have not received any reply. We will be willing to sign something that states that we will not develop the land into a gazillion homes, just the 4 I have already explained. Thank you for your consideration in this request.
