John Vodopich 9/23/14 11:08 AM RE: Proposal No. 2014-72 Councilmember’s, The City of Bonney Lake has had an opportunity to review proposal No. 2014-72 which would in part, extend the effective date of Plan Amendment U-1 to allow for additional time to complete the required Joint Planning Agreement process. While the City is appreciative of the proposed time extension, we do believe that additional time is warranted. In an August 29, 2014 letter addressed to the Mayor, the County Executive notified the City that County staff has been directed to stop work on the Joint Planning Agreement with the City. We are hopeful that the issue identified in the County Executive’s letter can be resolved to our mutual satisfaction in a timely manner and that work on the Joint Planning Agreement can resume. The City of Bonney Lake is requesting that the proposed effective date of February 1, 2015 for Plan Amendment U-1 be changed to June 30, 2015 to allow sufficient time for negotiations on the Joint Planning Agreement to resume. Sincerely,
